About Me! |
Who am I? Hello, my name is Evan Hanson. I am currently finishing up my graduate studies at Bridgewater State University in the area of School Counseling PreK- 8 and will be graduating in May of 2019. After the program, I strive to become a competent and effective school counselor to the students that I will be working with.I am looking at jobs in the state of Massachusetts in elementary schools or middle schools for the 2019-2020 school year. However, it is my passion to work with the elementary school students.
I hope to instill confidence in my future students to make sure they know they will succeed at anything they put their mind to. I plan to advocate for them in whatever way I can. Being a leader to these future students will be an important role as well. Also, I will serve as a role model to both students and the staff in order to set a safe and effective learning environment for everyone. Background |

Before my graduate studies, I attended Clark University for four years. I majored in Psychology and minored in education, focusing on school psychology and counseling. During my time here, I participated in many activities. These activities included being apart of the ultimate frisbee team for all four years and being captain of that team for the last two years. I also played on the club soccer team for all four years too. I helped out with the NCAA basketball team by being the team manager as well as participating in Big Brother Big Sister, to which I still see the student I mentored today.
